Jim Jacobi

I have been showing art throughout the USA for over 25 years. I am a colorist in a bleak world. With two degrees in painting from UNL, I offer many varieties in style with emphasis on color/line and stroke. The media varies as well as subject matter ranging from oil/watercolor to mixed media and collage. Subject matter ranges from whimsical, expressionist or surreal to abstract. I have a philosophy about paintings; the world outside the canvas is our reality and what is created on canvas or paper is a new reality which we create. It is our way of giving back the creativity to the universe from which it came--which any of us can be lucky enough to experience. I was born in NYC and have lived in Germany, Dallas, Seattle and Nebraska.
