Luellen Turek

This is my second year teaching at Arts For All. It is truly a joy to impart my love of music to my students and see them progress each semester. I have over 20 years of experience working with Youth Choirs, Adult Choirs, Praise Bands, and directing musicals. My education includes a BS degree in Education from University of Nebraska at Omaha and a MS Degree from Creighton University in Special Education. I am a retired social worker and have taught special education for three years. My music teaching style utilizes various techniques by adapting and modifying the curriculum to meet each student’s needs. I have played the piano and organ for churches, weddings, and funerals since I was a teenager, and am currently the organist at Lowe Avenue Presbyterian Church. Besides music, I enjoy reading, gardening, and traveling.
