Welcome to the Arts For All Blog!
Arts For All is growing in many wonderful ways. One of which is this blog. With numerous contributors such as myself, teachers, students, parents, and site supervisors you will always get an interesting and fresh perspective on the arts such as our personal experiences with the arts, how and why the arts are important to us, help you have fun with the arts, and develop your creativity. Our blog will focus on current local, national, and international happenings in the arts.
We will use our blog to keep you informed about Arts For All news. You will get an opportunity to meet our staff, families and our students. We hope to include photos, videos, and writing from our students to give you a glimpse into our world and show you how important arts education of all disciplines are for all.
As Executive Director, my personal beliefs that drive this organization are that the arts are vital, they help with the development of both sides of our brains, everyone is born with a creative spark that can be ignited, and we can learn to light this fire. It requires us to develop our senses, improve how we see, hear, and feel about the world and nature, ourselves and others, and understand and appreciate the beauty of it all. The arts are for individual and collaborative experiences.
My favorite words are: Beauty, Empathy, Possibilities, Both, Many, Creativity, the word AND, Why/Why Not, Feel, Imagination, Expression, Solutions, Joy, Understanding, and the elements of art being, Pattern, Line, Shape, Color, and Texture.
The arts are all around us everyday, they are our world. Just open your eyes, ears, and heart. Come participate.
Judy Mallory, Executive Director
